Keep your hair clean. Hair tangles when dirt and sweat build up, wash your hair after exercise, swimming etc. Brush your hair and remove all tangles before washing it. Wash your hair going in a downward motion. Use a good quality shampoo. When lots of water is added at once to very dry hair, hair can swell up and tangle. Gradually wet the hair and brush gently before you completely wash it.
Styling:
When brushing use a soft bristle brush, start at the ends of your hair and gently work your way up. Always brush in a downward motion. Brush your hair 2 or 3 times a day. Heat is your one of your hair's biggest enemy, the more you use it, the shorter your hair extensions will last. Be careful with the use of hair dryers and curling irons. It is best to let your hair dry naturally.
Exercise:
Wear a cap when swimming or keep your hair out of the water. Chlorine and salt water can cause the hair to tangle and mat up. It is recommended to wear your hair up or in a ponytail when you swim or exercise
Sleeping:
Never sleep on wet hair, make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to bed. It is also recommended to wrap your hair together or gently tie it up to prevent tangling.
Hair care products:
Use a very small amount of good quality (leave-in) conditioner to keep your hair soft. Too much conditioner or any other hair care product can cause a build up and tangling. Avoid hair products that contain alcohol. Ask your stylist what would be the best products for your hair.
Hair treatments:
If needed, have your stylist perm or color your hair extensions for you.
How To Insert Hair Extensions
To insert the hair extensions use a tail comb to divide the back of your hair from below one ear to the second ear. Use hair accessories to hold the surplus hair out of the way on top of your head. Now start at the lower center back at the middle of the nape of the neck. Next take the widest hair weft and insert the opened center clip just below the parting. Insert the snap clip on the hair not on the raw scalp. Snap the clip in hair extension grip shut so it grips the hair. Carefully attach the side snap clips one at a time.
The clip-in weft hair extension should be fully stretched out with the hair weft as parallel as possible to the parting you made.
Release the hair you held out of the way and create a new parting. To do this, comb down a layer of hair with about half an inch or so between each weft layer. Each time hold back all the surplus hair as before with hairdressing grips.
Now insert the remaining wefts in the same manner as above. Repeat the process with a new parting above each weft extension.
Insert and position the side pieces so they frame the face and blend with your own hair.
Ensure your own hair is combed over the weft and the clips so that the hair looks natural.
